Inspiration / Fail
I always go back to the old saw: if you're not failing, you're not doing enough challenging stuff.
Unless your failures are pretty spectacular (failing to kill the president, failing to get permission to take that 27 million dollars out of the bank) most people never hear about your failures but they do hear about your successes. So embrace failure.
Nobody knows you applied for 94 jobs and got rejected by 93. They just know you got an awesome job. Nobody knows you wrote 101 bad screenplays. They just know you're the guy who got one of his screenplays produced...
Perhaps you could do a little more pruning before applying for 93 jobs you won't get and writing 101 bad screenplays.
Some realism can save you a lot of work.
Unless, of course, software is eating the world... err, your resume: http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:pghpLbngybIJ:online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052702304821304577436172660988042.html
