"Any fool can make things bigger, more complex, and more violent." ~ Albert Einstein
Actually, the full line is:
"Any fool can make things bigger, more complex, and more violent. It takes a touch of genius -- and a lot of courage -- to move in the opposite direction."
Only the brilliant and the courageous can simplify.
Reposted this, thanks Adam...I tried to tag you but FB wouldn't let me. :-(
You are the kindest being, you are awesome.
Only kindness matter. Only kindness matter.
If you can combine kindness with having your act together, you are truly golden:
From a Harvard Business School study:
1) When assessing someone else, warmth plays a more important role than competence.
2) When assessing ourselves, we believe that competence (the capability of someone to carry out intentions) is more important.
3) Without knowing, we often assume that there is a "trade off" between warmth and competence in a person. These two dimensions help us understand how we think about and act toward others. We admire warm/competent people, envy (and sometimes scapegoat) those who are cold and competent, pity those who are perceived as warm and incompetent, and have contempt for the cold and incompetent.
