Three observations:

1. Apple has disrupted this ecosystem thanks to iPhone and iPad being robust game platforms.

2. Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo haven't come out with new versions of their boxes in years. We're at near saturation of game consoles. Kinect has been the only innovation of the last five years.

3. Why haven't game console prices dropped? They're ridiculously high compared with buying used ones on eBay.
