Batman Begins (2005) - Memorable quotes

Bruce Wayne: They told me there was nothing out there, nothing to fear. But the night my parents were murdered I caught a glimpse of something. I've looked for it ever since. I went around the world, searched in all the shadows. And there is something out there in the darkness, something terrifying, something that will not stop until it gets revenge... Me.

So many good quotes from this movie.

He never does stop. Not even when he gets revenge.

Count: "And now, farewell to kindness, humanity and gratitude. I have substituted myself for Providence in rewarding the good; may the God of vengeance now yield me His place to punish the wicked."

The count does. I believe batman will in this movie. His revenge is actually against Ra'as Al Ghul...that is what he wants. The league of shadows are actually the ones who planted the seeds of destruction that led to his parents death, in the batman begins storyline.

Are his methods supernatural? His ways immortal? -- the last words of Ra'as al Ghul in batman begins.

We all long for catharsis; for reconciliation. I believe he will find that reconciliation he seeks in the third movie.

If that happens this will be by far the most satisfying of all the Batman series.

Can't wait to see it!

I've never been this pleased to see a company/project make money! http://touch.chicagotribune.com/#section/-1/article/p2p-72077909/

This means more creative license for Nolan; more funds for his future movies, and hopefully Hollywood investing in meaningful films that seek to inspire and instruct.

Christopher Nolan will one day come out and say the "pearl necklace" is Bruce's totem; and the entire batman trilogy is all part of an Inception by Alfred for him to get over his parents death. Bruce is really asleep on the plane ride home from his training with Henri Ducard.

Cobb: It's a week the first level down. Six months the second level and the third level...

Ariadne: Is ten years. Who would wanna be stuck in a dream for ten years?

It's roughly ten years from the time Bruce leaves Henri Ducard until the time he sees Alfred in the cafe. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1345836/quotes?qt=qt1748321

In Florence. You are right, sir!

Arthur, Eames, and Mal are all part of the inception team on Bruce; Alfred -- as in inception -- is the father figure.

That thought blows my mind.

Batman + Inception = Batception

Nolan imagines Inception as a world where other stories could take place.

“There can’t be anything in the film that tells you one way or another because then the ambiguity at the end of the film would just be a mistake … It would represent a failure of the film to communicate something. But it’s not a mistake. I put that cut there at the end, imposing an ambiguity from outside the film. That always felt the right ending to me — it always felt like the appropriate ‘kick’ to me….The real point of the scene — and this is what I tell people — is that Cobb isn’t looking at the top. He’s looking at his kids. He’s left it behind. That’s the emotional significance of the thing.”
