Dutch field hockey gives hope to girls with athletic body types
The enthusiastic coverage of the Dutch field hockey team makes me hopeful that the "flat chest, big thighs" look is becoming fashionable! (I mean this without irony)
In the words of LMFAO, they work out! This is going into my Fitspo stash...
You're right that they're athletic and proud of it. Nothing wrong with that.
Many Dutch field hockey girls pics are circulating the Internet right now...
See below for Ellen Hoog pics as well as Sophie Polkamp and Fatima Moreira De Melo.
Ellen Hoog is one of many great athletes competing in London Olympics 2012...

It is amusing to watch a Twitter search of Netherlands Women's field hockey team: https://mobile.twitter.com/#!/search/netherlands%20women%27s%20field%20hockey
Ellen Hoog does not seem to mind the attention:
Dutch Field Hockey Team GOLD -- Go Netherlands!!
Congrats Ellen, Sophie, Kitty, Maartje, Lidewij, and the whole team!
Dutch field hockey player Ellen Hoog is all over the Internet.
(Not much on Wikipedia, though.)
Ellen is a striker who has been playing on the national team since 2004: "After [her father's death in August 2005] she had difficulties picking up her normal life again, but regained the motivation to start playing when the new season started in October 2005."

Fatima Moreira De Melo was a striker on the 2008 gold medal team in Beijing, but she is not playing in 2012. She's retired at 34.
Actually, I've realized that the orange SKORTS are one of the things that make the Dutch team different and awesome... they might even be skort DRESSES.
I believe they're playing in skort DRESSES, although I can't find much on the Internet about that.
I did find a Dutch ladies soccer team, FC de Rakt, has opted to play in skirts.
Not sure if this says something about all women in general or just Dutch?
