Crispy Fried Okra Recipe
Some people use a mix of egg and buttermilk, and some people use a mix of cornmeal and flour. This seems like the simplest statement of the recipe though.
Simpler than Paula Deen's fried okra recipe which advocates buttermilk but no egg.
Two eggs is a lot for this amount of okra. I used 10 largish pods, probably about a pound of okra, and only needed one egg.
The one ingredient this recipe is missing is black pepper. It's important that the coating is well seasoned, don't skimp on the salt and pepper.
