6 Harsh Truths That Will Make You a Better Person
Nick Griffen stashed this in Harsh Truths
A good way to understand if you are worth anything to society.
So if technology is creating multiple generations of narcissists, and narcissists when faced with challenges can't find motivation to solve complex problems and would rather seethe over how unfair the world is....then the world is f****d for starters?
No, every generation rebels against the previous generation.
A narcissistic generation is usually followed by a generation of activists that want to reform.
I don't think they're narcissists. Honestly I am happy I'm not a young person today, their lives have too many choices and the costs of "failure" are too high. I got kicked out of high school at age 15 and didn't have a clue what I wanted to do career-wise until age 30! That is a lot of years of being a total loser by the terms of this article.
Yeah, in the three years since I wrote that I no longer believe they're narcissists, too.
Like you, I have a lot of feeling for what they're going through.
I want to help them. I hope they can help themselves.
Dag Nabbit you took my post! It's a good read though. You should check it out.

This article is great. Made me think--I even made my list:) Not bad for a rainy Monday.
I love the movie the commitments. My favorite quote is somehow relevant to the article:
http://www.subzin.com/quotes/The+Commitments/He%27s+a+prick+with+a+job00:07:27 What does she see in him? He looks like he models fuckin' knittin' patterns!
00:07:32 - Mothers love him. - Why? He's a prick!
00:07:37 He's a prick with a job.
00:07:39 That band, Free Beer. They always pull a big crowd.
00:07:41 - I like A Flock of Budgies. - That's a stupid name.
The article actually has an explanation of this:
"What you are inside only matters because of what it makes you do."
I dig that.
