Weber Faster One – the world's fastest street-legal sports car?
Geege Schuman stashed this in Auto Erotica

Weber claims the F1 is capable of a maximum speed of "over 400 km/h" (248 mph), which is nothing to sneeze at, but is a little too vague to claim bragging rights over the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport's 431 km/h (267 mph) – or even the roadster version's 410 km/h (255 mph) (although this will be speed limited to 375 km/h (233 mph)). In fact, the Hennessey Venom GT, Koenigsegg Agera R, SSC Ultimate Aero, and 9ff GT9-R all claim maximum speeds of "over 400 km/h," so just how much over 400 km/h the F1 is capable of is the big question.
Is there any road -- not a track, but a road -- where a person can drive over 400 km/hr ???
I know people who street race late at night, but at nothing approaching that speed.Â
This is why the Lord invented Texas. So we'd all have a place to go to drive real fast!
There are four places in the world one can approach 400km/h or higher:
1. Volkswagen Ehra-Lessen race track in Germany
2. Bonneville Salt Flats, where most land speed record runs are held, in Salt Lake City, Utah
3. Italy's Nardo track, where the Corvette Callaway Sledgehammer was tested.
4. Texas. Because roads are straight and flat there. Sometimes they host the "Texas Flying Mile" events there which are top speed at the end of a mile competitions.
Ajay, I love you. And now I love Texas, too.
And Utah.
And two places in Europe. Germany and Italy.
I wonder what all four of those places have in common?
Formerly fascist? No, wait, that's just the best one.
How about fierce independence?
Shaped like a boot?
We're talking about Utah, right?
I'm still missing the boot.
