Hashbang was an abomination that took Twitter two years to get rid of.
The fact that Twitter has gotten rid of #! isn’t just “man those URLs are fugly!” or “man, now those URLs are in Google!”, but rather, speed is now back. You get to the content that you wanted ASAP. It’s about the experience stupid.
May it forever be banished from the book of good Web Design.
