Wow, that's a lot of fans!

Yes - Doors were huge!!Morrison was somewhat fascinating to many people..

Unfortunately, he was self-destructive too..  shame.

Do we know what he died of?

They say it was Heroin (I don't know if he was a regular user, and an autopsy was never done..)  Apparently he overdosed in a bathtub in Paris and he's buried in Pere Lachaise Cemetery there. 

Unfortunately, his grave is always being bothered by fans, etc (they even took the tombstone of his head)

There's also a lot of mystery and speculation around his death.  Some die-hards don't even think he's really dead.

Also weird is that he is one of several rock starts that died at age 27, including Kurt Cobain, Janis Joplin, Hendrix, Brian Jones, etc... They call it the 27 Club.

Thank you. That's really tragic. He was so talented and threw it all away at too young an age.
