Young People Find Homosexual Relationships More Morally Acceptable Than Divorce

One third of Americans think divorce is morally unacceptable?!
Is it better to stay in a bad relationship???
That's a good point, however, I view it as positive because at least they're saying to choose wisely and to commit to your marriage, whereas it is recognized that no harm comes from a homosexual relationship.
Your point is well-taken, and for sure, I myself would not stay in a bad relationship if sincere efforts to improve it had failed.
There's just no way to know what a person will be like years in the future.
You're right that it's important to choose wisely and to commit, but it's also important to assess if things change.
That doesn't fit with my understanding of both human nature and the scientific literature. Gottman's 4 Horseman don't suddenly appear many years after the couple is married. He can use this and a few other metrics to predict divorce to a very high degree-- above 90%.
Eager to hear feedback on this point.
Even if there's only a 10% chance of success, it might be worth the time and energy.
People do grow apart, but sometimes people grow together.
The only thing we can count on is that everything will keep changing.
