What brand would pay $50k for such a collaboration?!
Song told WWD that her fees "range from a couple of thousand to be at a store hosting all day—tweeting and uploading images to Instagram throughout—up to about $50,000 for a collaboration deal with a brand, which she declined to name (she is, however, in talks to work with them again)."
Also, no offense to her, but those are some mighty ugly shorts for a fashion blogger.
2nd time I've predicted (intended) which stash you would put it in!
Also, you're out of style. She looks just fine. Also, she's in LA.
re: 50K. It depends if it's a campaign, and therefore commands multiple looks or multiple units of style curatorial, as well as lock her into a semi-contract for a long period of time. This can be broken down into $/look, or $/packaged services, $/month, but as soon as it goes commercial/national, $ can reasonably go up. Style and Image are everything for young brands (or brands wishing to remain a youthful image).
50K can seen as iterative, based on her own brand's trajectory, based on the fact that she currently seems to be owning a Buyer/Stylist/Stylespotting/Blogging role for Macy's, focusing on Flea Markets/Antique Fairs >> which is a unique role.
Go to PROJECT, MAGIC, Bread+Butter tradeshows sometime and you'll see the money large brands throw around.
Wow, large brands throw around a LOT of money. I guess $50k is nothing to them.
You really don't think she could find nicer shorts?
