It seems like the thing to do has always been to believe that the times are changing faster than we can keep up, and we'll always feel like there's an information overload as what we want to hear gets shouted over by those who are trying to sell their products to us. Such is the pace of "modern" life. 

Or the twitter/TL;DR version: The times, they are a-changin' just not by much.

I only have nine things to say about that.

I believe that last one translates to:

The more things change, the more things stay the same.
