Reminds me of the New York Times article on car culture dying:

According to Pinterest, Mackinac is the 8th most visited island in the world and the most visited island in the US.  I am doubtful.

I have never heard of Pinterest cited as a reference.

Which web page does the Pinterest page link to please?

Mackinac Island as the top island destination in the United States and 8th in the world. 1 repin. Pinned from clapboard ...You visited this page on 7/8/13.

I was looking for an article I read in Architectural Digest about Mackinac, probably a decade ago, by someone who summered there as a child.  Great article, couldn't find it.  I misattributed to Pinterest; should have been

I've been there many many times as a child... it's basically a theme park you can theoretically live in.

Mack-in-aw as in peaches?!

Geege, (and Architectural Digest!) makes so much more sense than Pinterest as a source.

"Somewhere in Time" was filmed in Mackinac.

Mackinac Island has its own website:

Mackinac Island is a very nice place to visit. I remember going there as a child with my family. That's cool about Somewhere in Time...I love that movie! Especially the Chinese version.

Is the Chinese version different?

Yes, it's got subtitles (like the one in Geege's previous post.) =-)

Ah, I know that feeling. I like closed caption for this very reason!
