Yes, thank YOU. I believe that it will.
That's silly. Original gun control laws were intended to take protections away from minorities and oppressed. 2nd amendment rights helped keep them equal. Stand your ground laws are the same way. There's no reason a specific person should give up their life, liberty and pursuit of happiness to serve some collectivist social justice "debt". Stand your ground laws are *more* important to minorities than anyone else as they create a more fair, equal playing field for the most important rights they can have. I would find it disturbing that they would voluntarily or politically give them up.
No one wants to take away your guns, just the justification for using them whenever you feel uneasy.
Geege, I think you misread my statement. I never claimed anyone was taking guns away. We're talking about stand your ground laws. The point is that prosecutors have been charging legal gun owners with crimes the past three decades for using them to protect themselves from criminals and attackers. I think criminalizing legal gun use to protect your rights is a disturbing trend for everyone, but even more so for minorities and women who are victims of these crimes.
