Sounders Fans Spent Three Weeks Making This Enormous Tifo
Halibutboy Flatfish stashed this in Sports
One of the uniquely endearing traditions of soccer is tifo: generally all those big-ass signs, banners, smokebombs, scarves, and faces on sticks that would get you thrown out of any normal sporting venue, but in professional soccer turned up to truly wackadoodle extremes. This is how the Seattle Sounders' most ardent fans, the Emerald City Supporters, decided to encourage their boys before a game with their arch-rival Portland Timbers.
I hope these same people show up to support Team USA in the 2014 World Cup.
