Warner Bros. Releases Full Dark Knight Rises Synopsis | Superhero Hype
Ottway Ducard stashed this in Movies
Stashed in: Stories, Are You Not Entertained?, Batman!, Heroes!
I'm using Spiderman to cleanse the palette after the Avengers.
Then I'll be ready for Dark Knight 3.
Let's hope it will be as good as Dark Knight... Not sure how can this be done without Heath Ledger though...
Eduardo is an amazing spiderman. He truly made the movie. Gwen and him had great chemistry, I thought.
Also, the ending seemed both unresolved and anticlimactic.
All I could do was try not to compare it to a Nolan film. :)
Sergey, I have no doubt this will be the best one yet.
In the prestige, which was adapted from a book, Nolan brothers completely re-wrote the meaning of "the prestige," -- he is one of the only directors I know to improve -- and vastly -- upon a book.
If you consider it, Nolan was giving away his concepts for storytelling: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0482571/quotes
The pledge: batman begins / a dream world, which is presented as "ordinary" in inception (suspension of disbelief)
The turn: the dark knight / Saito gets shot; limbo, everything is at risk
The prestige: the dark knight rises / Cobb finds his way home
If you consider his movies, from inception to the prestige, from batman begins to the dark knight (rises) he follows those same principles.
The dark knight rises will be both the prestige of the dark knight series, as well as contain all three of his storytelling principles...
In the dark knight rises, at it's core, one might guess that batman will return (which is the prestige, if you consider it), batman will be broken, batman will return restored -- or will he?

Cutter: Every great magic trick consists of three parts or acts. The first part is called "The Pledge". The magician shows you something ordinary: a deck of cards, a bird or a man. He shows you this object. Perhaps he asks you to inspect it to see if it is indeed real, unaltered, normal. But of course... it probably isn't. The second act is called "The Turn". The magician takes the ordinary something and makes it do something extraordinary. Now you're looking for the secret... but you won't find it, because of course you're not really looking. You don't really want to know. You want to be fooled. But you wouldn't clap yet. Because making something disappear isn't enough; you have to bring it back. That's why every magic trick has a third act, the hardest part, the part we call "The Prestige
