Why do so many thins from Upworthy make me cringe?
It's their schtick and it works. Upworthy's headlines (typically baroque (excepting this instance)) pull us in like moths to the blowtorch.
I do wonder if, over time, people will tire of being manipulated by Upworthy.
I know that their schtick got old with me real fast.
Now I see the Upworthy brand as a warning sign that I'm about to be manipulated.
