I admit it. They're terrifying.

I don't think the people in Iowa are much concerned about them...

Fear exists apart from probability.

That's true enough.  But I think this fearsomeness of whales munching on krill and sardines is probably far enough from human fears and will still lay money on it that a simple majority of people in Iowa don't fear whales as their most terrifying creature.  

And if we go to a multiple choice format and put great white sharks in among the options I'll extend that demographic beyond Iowa to saying that goes for everyone, nationwide...
