More than you ever wanted to know about Whale Poo...

This article shows many type of whale poop, which it calls "the Miracle-Gro of the ocean, rich in nutrients and vital to the health of marine ecosystems".

The colour and consistency of whale poop varies by species:

Red poop, for example, is a telltale sign of a diet high in krill.

So humpback whales are krill munchers, if the above image is accurate.

Most whale poop is not as organized as the image above. It's more messy and stinky, as this image of a sperm whale captures nicely:

I was thinking about making "Consume like a panda, produce like a whale" PandaWhale's tagline but after this I'm rethinking that completely. ;)

And don't get me started on how valuable sperm whale poo is.
