The Evolution of the Web
Viktoria Ruubel stashed this in Internet
It's not only the amount, but also speed of the evolution that is changing.
It does feel like things have accelerated.
Viktoria, this is wonderful, thank you. I'd seen the graphic during Larry Page's keynote at Google I/O but had not seen the source. This is a fabulous example of a very functional interactive graphic.
I'd be curious to get opinions on the best sources for current statistics on browser use. Obviously minimum supported systems is driven by demographics, but available data (I've seen) isn't always broken into the demographic splits we're looking for. I've seen W3schools' data (http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_stats.asp... seems highly tech market distorted) and statowl (http://www.statowl.com/web_browser_market_share.php... which seems better.)
Is there any conventional wisdom on this one?
Nope. We make it up as we go.
