It's one thing to move from Linux boxes to Microsoft boxes -- that's just unintentional security leaking.
It's another thing to actually re-architect Skype to allow wiretapping.
Ugh. What Skype alternatives exist? FaceTime, anyone?
Google Hangouts and Talk are better than Skype. Not to say that they're more secure.
So this is coming down to a Microsoft vs Google decision? Wow.
Now that I think about it, WebRTC is going to shake up real time audio/video messaging. The barriers to entry will be much lower.
