So, what does it mean? And what are the implications for Google Glass?

It means this whole process of going from visual to words to concepts to visual and back and forth is a complete waste of time as people are wired to be visual<-->concept adept.  I don't know why anyone bothers with words anymore! (Except in certain circumstances and formally rigorous communication).  Pictures and numbers on the other hand, we'll always need those. 

I believe that. And music. We will always need music.
