You can use peas instead of favas in this very healthy early-spring dish.

Ground up kale with fava beans sounds tastier than peas. 

I'm not gonna lie... this recipe takes a surprising amount of work for a side dish, especially if you use fava beans instead of frozen peas. You have to prep and cook every single ingredient ahead of time, before combining them at the end. On the upside, this recipe makes a TON and it keeps well and people love it and it is super healthy.
