So, one day, I said "inconceivable" in a tweet. There is a handle for Inigo Montoya. I thought it was a fan--who's not a fan. Was my first convo w a bot. Incredible. Made me wish I were smart enough to design such things.
Actually it makes me feel the opposite.
Because there are so many bots on Twitter it's hard to ever connect with an actual person there.
Well, I'm real... I just think that it's amazing that "you guys" can create something that fools me. This is old hat for you, so my amazement borders on naive, but that's okay.
Actually, there's this concept in computer science called the Turing Test.
The computer program that passes the Turing Test is completely indistinguishable from humans in the way it responds to everything.
Originally the Turing Test was thought of as a thought exercise.
However, there's reason to believe machines will actually seem completely like humans very soon.
So however good things are now, imagine them a million times better in the future.
Gets to the heart of the question of what it means to be human.
So, then, tell me...what does it mean to be a human?
To feel, to believe, to have faith, to emote, to search for meaning, and to love.
And, eventually, to die.
Truly beautiful. So much so, I'm going to forgo "pay taxes." You should make a quote out of that.
I'm pretty sure most people don't want to hear the death part.
