It's no secret that open-source coding community GitHub is one noted branchof a tech culture that continually struggles with sexism at every level.

Now, a leading female developer at GitHub is calling it quits, lashing out at what she calls a culture of toxicity.

She's calling out a culture of bullying and aggression.

I posted more on this here:

She still hasn't told her full story, nor has Github responded to her accusations.

Techcrunch has the full details:

http://techcrunch.com/2014/03/15/julie-ann-horvath-describes-sexism-and-intimidation-behind-her-github-exit/

It's a story of aggression and bullying. It's really a sad story.

I really hope GitHub responds to this soon. It's very troubling.

They responded:

They are launching a full investigation.

The parties involved have been put on leave while they investigate.

The wife is no longer permitted in the office.

And the CEO publicly apologized to Julie.

Those are all steps in the right direction.
