Kurt Cobain Getting His Own Comic Book as Part of Tribute Series
Geege Schuman stashed this in Kurt Cobain
Stashed in: Rolling Stone!, Comics!, Nirvana!
"Not only is this a great way to understand the importance of his contribution to music, but it is a great tool for kids to read about him in a different medium," said Blue Water publisher Darren G. Davis of Cobain's Tribute installment. "Our biography comic books are now taught in schools and libraries for students and reluctant readers."
(Reluctant readers?)
Written and drawn by Jayfri Hashim, the comic is part of Blue Water Productions' "Tribute" series, which has already chronicled the lives of Jimi Hendrix, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Jim Morrison and Keith Richards (future comics in the series are planned for Freddie Mercury and the members of Monty Python). The Cobain installment will cover the musician's early career and quick rise to superstardom, which caused him so much mental and emotional strife.
Seriously, cool idea to make a graphic novel about Kurt Cobain.
I'm sad that his quick rise to superstardom caused him so much mental and emotional strife.
