I was trying to win the throne to save the kingdom, when I should have been trying to save the kingdom to win the throne. ~Stannis the Mannis
Stannis is riding the Game of Thrones hype train!!
Yeah Stannis the Mannis yeah!!
Stannis has entered the Game.
Stannis, the Mannis, Fucker up of Wildlings, Balls of Valyrian Steel, Fucker of Hot Insane Redheads, Hard Motherfucker, Father of Demons, Dick Like a Direwolf, High-Reigning Real Soldier Supreme, The Bro-atheon Baratheon, One True King of Motherfucking Westeros has stepped into the ring! Can I get a fuck yeah?!

"I wish it were otherwise but Ser Gregor is beyond saving."
So you're saying there's a chance...
The Mountain will be changed....
He didn't die?! Inconceivable.
We can rebuild him. We have the technology.
Daenerys invents contract law.
P.S. One does not simply chain up dragons! Poor dragons!! Drogon unchained...
How to Chain Your Dragon?
"You spent too much time with us, Jon Snow. You can never be a kneeler again!"
"Snow, did you love her? She loved you... All she ever talked about was killing you. That's how I know."
The Feels!!
Been there.
I need to go back and watch it again. So sad!
That scene was a little Jason and the Argona...NO!! Not the Hound!!
In the words of a Littlefinger from s4e8:
"People die at their tables (Red Wedding), they die in their beds (Shae), they die squatting over their chamber pots (Tywin). Everyone dies sooner or later (Everyone in GoT)."

So we lost 4 or 5 major characters in this episode alone. Wow. Harshed my mellow!
I say 4 or 5 because I still believe The Hound could go either way.
The power that moves them is powerless here.
The First Men called us The Children, but we were born long before them.
Come, he waits for you...

He died so you could find what you have lost.
You'll never walk again, but you will fly.
Bran will possess the one remaining dragon! That must be it!
That is an excellent theory! Btw I believe it's called "warging".
Indeed. Warging.
There's debate on whether a dragon can be warged:
http://asoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/topic/60741-dragon-warging-will-it-happen/
Apparently warging only applies to wolves. For other animals it's "skinchanging":
http://reddit.com/r/asoiaf/comments/15e347/spoilers_all_can_you_warg_a_dragon/
A lot more explanation of warging:
<1. The Stark kids' warging is pretty underdeveloped, and I think it's an accurate criticism that they can't go right from possessing domestic animals to possessing a dragon.>
Yet Bran wargs Hodor!
Bran is the most advanced of all of the Starks when it comes to warging.
Which is probably why The Children have summoned him.
The TV show still has not shown Sansa or Arya warging yet.
I was disappointed that Arya was not reunited with her direwolf Nymeria this season.
Now that she's off to Braavos we may have to wait another season or two!
Arya + Brienne = Awesome Scene!!
And the Hound is so sassy...
Brienne just pulled the same move as Rick Grimes in the Walking Dead season 4 finale!
It's like if Brienne and the Hound were to have sex, that's what it would look like.
There's a thought I cannot unsee.
So do you think the Hound has a chance to survive?
That's a compound fracture of his femur! I see gangrene in his future.
So it was truly bad of Arya to just leave him. Poor Hound was sitting there, begging.
Best-case scenario:
It's my impression that the only happiness the Hound experienced in his entire life was/were his travels with Arya, which made this scene even more unbearable.
He got brutally injured fighting for her, and she didn't seem to care.
Arya has incredible charisma that so many people are willing to fight and die for her.
But I guess that's true for all of the Starks.
That's a great insight and lesson. The Stark's inspire loyalty, the Lannister's inspire treason and regicide.
Lannisters would be doing so well if they could just keep from turning on themselves!
Without Tywin and Tyrion, all of King's Landing is now in trouble. No one there knows how to rule.
Meanwhile, you're right -- look at all of these people going out of their way to help Arya, Sansa, and Bran, even though Winterfell is in ruins. Starks have charisma that goes beyond being royals.
Where is Arya going at the end of Season 4?
http://reddit.com/r/gameofthrones/comments/29k1fd/season_4_finale_arya_last_scene_im_confused/
Projectile crying over Jaime's hug. Brothers with a dead mother.
When did Tyrion become such a badass??
Two episodes ago.
When he demanded a trial by combat? Or when the Mountain bested the Viper?
Tywin even admits he wasn't going to have a Tyrion killed.
When he demanded a trial by...THREE episodes ago.
Yeah, that was at the end of season 4 episode 6.
In retrospect, season 4 has massively transformed Tyrion, Sansa, Arya, Sam, and Jon Snow.
FOUR episodes ago!
Yes, transformed but unbowed, unbent and unbroken.
Observations:
1. Instead of quietly escaping Tyrion actually commits a crime that could be sentenceable by death.
2. Tyrion is the only Hand of the King since the start of the show who is still alive.
3. Varys made good on his promise to never forget what Tyrion has done for The Realm.
The Unsullied: Unblown, Unbent, Unbroken.
Ha! Poor Grey Worm really seems to like Missandei, too.

In retrospect, HBO spoiled the final scene of the season with this poster!
In retrospect we can now see Game of Thrones as a coming of age story of Arya, Sansa, Bran, Jon Snow, Sam, Tyrion, and Daenerys.
GRRM is not killing randomly like Orson. He has a complete story to tell.
Book readers are complaining about the things missing from the finale.
No Jorah.
No Sansa.
No Littlefinger.
No Greyjoys.
No one from Dorne.
No Boltons or Freys.
No Osha and Rickon.
No Gendry.
Don't click unless you want spoilers:

Wait, what?
Not really, just me being hopeful that we'll see Gendry again.
I'm going to call it: Not only will we see Gendry again but he will have an important part in the future.
I'm also calling it for Jorah: He will be very important in the future, too.
