Ok. I am sort of a Business Model Canvas Geek (actually tweeted my way to their $3K conference).
These are 6 short videos (15 minutes total) Its great for pre-startups, innovators and intra-preneurs within corporations as well. It helps me to help clients ensure that we don't fall in love with our ideas. I love this quote from the book, Business Model Generation in cultivating a design mindset.
"If you freeze an idea too quickly, you fall in love with it. If you refine it too quickly, you become attached to it and it becomes very hard to keep exploring, to keep looking for better. The crudeness of the early models in particular is very deliberate." Jim Glymph, Gehry Partners
This really gets to the essence of keep adapting, and keep improving.
A design mindset is good but so is learning as you go.
Agreed. Prototyping takes the willingness to explore. But learning takes a willingness to experiment and fail as needed.
