Tips for Power Users of PandaWhale
Adam Rifkin stashed this in PandaWhale
1) STASH WITH THE BOOKMARKLET.
After installing, when you click the bookmarklet -- and then select an IMAGE if appropriate -- you can easily create a post, along with a LINK to the source.
2) FORMAT COMMENTS.
Many HTML tags can be used for formatting in PandaWhale comments, including:
- B for bold
- I for italic
- A HREF for linking
- IMG for images
- BLOCKQUOTE for quoting
- OL and UL for lists
- STRIKE to
change your mindstrike text.
3) CONNECT ALL THE ACCOUNTS!
Connect Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Tumblr through the settings page.
You can also change your notification settings on the settings page.
4) SHARE ON FACEBOOK, TWITTER, GOOGLE+, AND PINTEREST.
Press the button below the title of any post to share away!
5) SAVE ANY POST FOR YOURSELF.
Press the orange SAVE button on any post to save it to your own stash.
6) FOLLOW EVERY STASH THAT INTERESTS YOU.
Receive notifications whenever someone adds to a stash you follow.
7) CHANGE THE TITLE OF ANY POST OR STASH BY CLICKING ON IT.
Click-to-edit (tap-to-edit on mobile!) works on any comment you make, too.
8) ADD IMAGES TO STASHES, POSTS, AND REPLIES.
Use image search suggestions to make everything more lively!
And remember always: HAVE FUN!
Not sure if this is the place for this... but here it is anyway
Something that is great about PandaWhale is the ability to choose your own image, big props on that one, can usually get a better image than the original content. However, when I share into Facebook, the image does not come through - nor does any of the text. Would be useful if it did - you guys are probably working through a big old feature list - but I think I'd share more on FB if this was there...
This should work now; we fixed it in one of our updates this year.
and it was done... so thought I'd post one of my favorite recipes
so in the spirit of just asking for moar...
I would like to see how many people have visited each of my posts. Or maybe a little dashboard of which of my posts have been visited most. Because there is nothing like a little mirror to help me see which of my posts are most liked and where the visitors come from.
Just a wish.
Definitely on the roadmap -- will let you know when something is available!
