Google Overtakes Goldman Sachs as Top Contributor to Political Campaigns

Google has outspent Goldman Sachs on political campaigns this year, a sign of Silicon Valley's growing presence in Washington, according to a report by the Financial Times. The story said that Google's political action committee, NetPAC, has spent $1.43 million this year, edging out the $1.4 million spent by the investment bank.
What amazes me is that it takes less than $1.5 million to be the biggest PAC. Really?
That's so little compared with the size of the US GDP.
I used to think that the United States has the finest politicians money can buy.
Now I'm not so sure.
