That was a long time ago!
Here’s another example of where things stand today: Vox Media, the company behind high-profile sites including The Verge, SB Nation and Vox, has raised $46.5 million in a round led by General Atlantic. The funding gives Vox a post-money valuation of about $380 million, according to people familiar with the transaction.

Interestingly, Vox is worth one-fifth as much as Vice ($2 billion).
Vox is worth less than half the New York Times ($1 billion, what Instagram and Tumblr sold for).
Vox is worth a little less than Reddit ($500 million).

Vox is worth twice as much as Imgur ($160 million).
Vox is worth three times Medium ($120 million).
