Fifteen years on, people—particularly people in Silicon Valley—still talk about these epic failures. In addition to Pets.com, there was WebVan, Kozmo.com, and Flooz.
The irony is that nowadays, they’re all very good ideas.

Sometimes (often!) entrepreneurs are too early to the table. It's a common problem for overly creative people. The old business adage things need only be 10% different to succeed has a corollary that things need to be only 10% different!
So making too big of a change from what currently exists is more likely to fail?
