Everyone's favorite old-time boxer, Archie Moore, in an article from 1961.

He was a boxing champion of the world in his mid 40s?! Wow.

Archibald Lee Moore, the light-heavyweight boxing champion of the world, is 44 years of age by his own account and 47 by his mother's. She says that he was born on Dec. 13, 1913, in Benoit, Miss., but he insists that the year was 1916 and, on occasion, that the place was somewhere in Missouri, or perhaps in Illinois. "My mother should know, she was there," he has conceded. "But so was I. I have given this a lot of thought, and have decided that I must have been there when I was born."
