Business Insider has a great article about how brands are being affected by Pinterest.

Take a look around Pinterest to survey the evidence. That’s not the giant shipping company. Certainly not Michael Dell’s PC maker. Neither Coke nor McDonald’s has the page you’d expect it to own.

And these are just a few of the boards who’ve lost their brand names on Pinterest. Econsultancy estimates that brand squatting on Pinterest affects 90 percent of top brands.
