Five Leadership Lessons From Jean-Luc Picard...
Adam Rifkin stashed this in Leadership!
I'm reading Alex Knapp's enjoyable article, and liked this line from JLP, which I read in his voice:
In my experience, communication is a matter of patience and imagination. I would like to believe that these are qualities that we have in sufficient measure.
Well communicated. So here's the five lessons:
Speak to people in the language they understand.
When you're overwhelmed, ask for help.
Always value ethical actions over expedient ones.
Challenge your team to help them grow.
- Don't play it safe -- seize opportunities in front of you.
Knapp also has five lessons from James T Kirk.

You test well, Devin. What do you think? :)
It needs a lot of work of course, but I think the basic idea is pretty cool. I've had some ideas using TowerJS a Node framework, building out something better than Wordpress but in Node, and this could be a key social aspect that wordpress is lacking.
Guessing you're using something like Php? I'm just over in Menlo Park, we should meetup.. I'll drop you an email
I love the idea of "better than WordPress" by being more social.
We should definitely talk more about this.
