The global refugee crisis is out of control, and we seem to have evolved no real means of solving it through diplomacy, military intervention, or the free market. There are more and more displaced people, and fewer of them can return to their homes in a short period of time. Many of them cannot legally work, and the costs of their care lead to resentment in their erstwhile host countries.
Geez, these charts make me feel helpless. This is one of the biggest problems in the world.
