Marie Marvingt applied for the 1908 Tour de France, but was rejected. Despite the diss, she followed the peloton and rode the whole race! Only 36 men finished that year, so she was among the truly elite cyclists of her day.
What I want to know is did she wear that fur coat and bonnet the whole time? Because that would be SO BAD ASS!!!
That really would be badass.
