Apps on tablet to consume just make so little sense; web browsing is faster and more compote than apps for consumption.

Apps; however, are very necessary for creation and gaming on tablet. I find the core Apple apps to be mostly sufficient -- both the ones that come with iPad as well as the apps they sell in the App Store...
