Americans are like children in thinking we have a right to unlimited carrots and zero sticks... and then we complain about the results. Europeans and Asians and New Yorkers have a lot more disincentives, either built into the system or applied to the system... and guess what, they drive a lot less and are a lot healthier.
Too bad Americans are so stubborn.Â
I agree with you that bikes could solve a lot of urban problems at once.Â
