The Future of Disaster Relief Isn't the Red Cross, It's a Bunch of Veterans
Joyce Park stashed this in Military
I had never heard of Team Rubicon before, but they have a dual mission -- disaster relief by veterans looking for a deeper purpose in civilian life -- and their main problem is a lack of enough work.
The main problem should be solved within two more decades of global warming.
Yeah, I was thinking "lack of enough work" is a good thing when the work requires disasters.
The more insidious implication is that Red Cross thwarts the efforts of other relief groups.
