I showed this in class to underscore the irony of the fact that so many students here really don't take full advantage of the free and public education with which they are blessed. This courageous girl is risking her life.

So, the conversation with my seniors just now evolved--"Who is she?" "Did we leave her there?" "Won't they kill her?" The conversation evolved to something quite different--who does the US let in? Who deserves that protection? Why are some people excluded? Hmong? Iraqi translators? Those key discussions are real learning:)
