Some say the world will end on December 21, 2012.

I don't know if that's true, but no matter what, I think the day deserves a bitchin' playlist.

Let's begin our playlist (above) with a little ditty from R.E.M. about the End of Days and being okay with it, "It's the End of the World as We Know It (and I Feel Fine)".

Why feel fine? Because (below), "We Didn't Start the Fire".

Some men just want to watch the world burn.

So fire up that Disco Inferno, it's time to party like it's 1999....

Are you getting it? Armageddon it!

Let's watch the "Pop Up Video" version of this Def Leppard classic...

...and wash it down with a glass of Weird Al's holiday hit, "Christmas at Ground Zero":

Britney Spears wants to "Keep on Dancing Till the World Ends"...

Good, because Justin Timberlake and Madonna only got 4 minutes to save the world.

If the world is gonna end, then it's time to "Party Hard" !!!

Don't need nothing but a good time. And it don't get better than this...

This is the end, my friend. (the Doors)

And in the end the love you take is equal to the love you make. (the Beatles)

You tell me over and over and over again my friend, ah, you don't believe we're on the eve of destruction.

In the year 2525, if man is still alive...

Some say the world will end in fire, Some say in ice.

Just don't make any promises in the dark...

...go on and hit me with your best shot.

(Okay, okay. Pat Benatar mode OFF!)

How about a little Heavy Metal? "Symphony of Destruction", anyone?

And no Apocalypse would be complete without a little "Iron Man"...

No ending would be complete without a final play of "Stairway to Heaven"...

Feeling nihilist? Nothing really matters, anyone can see:

...and since we're feeling all those sweet emotions, how about a little "Dream On"?

I was going to conclude my playlist with Prince partying like it's 1999, but that little jerk refuses to put any of his music on YouTube.

No matter. We can do better. A little Beastie Boys, anyone?

Because even if the world is ending, you gotta fight for your right to party!

Hey Ladies, GET FUNKY!!!

Yeah, the Beastie Boys have the right attitude. Hang in there, world!!!

What? No "Party At Ground Zero" by Fishbone?
