The biggest lie I tell myself is... "I don't need to write that down. I'll remember it."
Adam Rifkin stashed this in Demotivation!
Charlie White of Mashable writes: "The number of photos on Twitter keeps up its explosive growth, with this week’s humongous batch numbering 56 million pics from which to choose. That’s 4 million more than last week!"
I choose the photo above as my favorite of all 56 million photos posted on Twitter last week.
I shall be tweeting it myself soon.
I used to work in restaurants as a kid growing up, so I saw every side of the business, front of the house to back. As a result, I am very sensitive to many things around restaurants, including how food is prepared, how guests treat staff, and so forth. Probably an unhealthy amount. BUT, ONE OF MY BIGGEST GRIPES EVER is when I go to a really nice restaurant and the waiter/waitress doesn't write down the order, and then comes back to verify. I actually almost want to tip $1 at the end just for that. Drives me nuts. Ok, rant over.
It's as if they consider writing thing down to be indicative of bad service.
In reality, NOT REMEMBERING is bad service.
