A lot of non-meme people are wondering also what a confession bear is.

I was shocked to learn that "Confession Bear" has existed for less than a year:

Confession Bear is an advice animal image macro series featuring a photo of a Malayan sun bear leaning against a log. The images are captioned with confessions about taboo behaviors and controversial opinions that are often kept secret for fear of being ostracized.

The original bear photo was taken by photojournalist Clemens Bilan and was submitted to the stock photo website Getty Images on April 12th, 2007. Several years later on June 21st, 2012, Redditor F-18Bro submitted a post titled “I have a lot of weird stuff that I’d like to b able to confess to reddit so i can get it off my chest, so I made Confession Bear”, which included another image macro of the bear with the caption “I absolutely love / the smell of my own balls”. 

Within four days, the post received over 13,000 up votes and 1,100 comments.

It's fascinating that television shows about sociopaths (Breaking Bad, Dexter) are informing user behavior.

There's so much that is contextual on the internet! Although people think they are anonymous, they only make sense in those worlds. It made me think of how many inside jokes/references there are. Can they be called "inside" when actually very public?  Hmm.

They're inside jokes that only a few million people understand.

Anyone can get understanding with time.

Ha ha: sleeping pills to kids. Whisper app is on par with addiction to iPads and Confession Bear goes hand in hand with beer.

I think that's what makes for a good PostSecret or Confession Bear or Whisper post.

Something that's believable yet the person SHOULD be ashamed for doing it.

I don't have as much problem with this guy taking out a skel as I probably should, but holy fuck that's the kind of shit you take to the damn grave!  Stupid!
