At an average of 300 beers per year, that's about 1 per day.
I wonder why North Dakota is first?
Because it is SO boring there. Drinking beer helps pass the time.
I've never been. But I'm sure all the wildlife and nature could keep you busy for awhile.

Majority of North Dakota Tourism explores the vast acres of wilderness and outdoor areas that the state has to offer. If you have an adventurous spirit and the strength and skills to match it then you’ll have everything you need in the Roughrider State.
Biking
The Maah Daah Hey Trail is no doubt the most popular outdoor trail in the entire state. It is 96 miles long and weaves you through the best sceneries that state has to offer, including a magnificent view of the state’s famous and one-of-a-kind Badlands. This trail is also one of the best trails used for biking. And don’t worry: if you haven’t brought your own mountain bike with you, there are a number of establishments in the state that sell – or rent out – your favorite model.
Horseback Riding
If you like feeling the wind against your face and the sound of hooves underneath you then you’re looking for North Dakota’s Lewis & Clark State Park. At the park, history will come alive in a number of ways. Relive the glory of discovery the many wonderful and new things that the West had introduced when Lewis and Clark had first explored these regions. As you and your companions journey on horseback, your expert tour guide will keep you entertained with trivia about the scenery and its history.
Boating, Kayaking, and Canoeing
There are also numerous opportunities for you to enjoy the waters of North Dakota. For a relaxing cruise, you and your friends can rent out a boat. You can test your skills on the paddle or have a guide paddle you past gentle prairies, meadows, and of course the Badlands.
If you wish to test the fierceness of the waters of the lakes of North Dakota or even the Mississippi River then you can do that as well with either a kayak or canoe. Some tour companies even offer an adventure package that includes canoeing and camping in the bargain. Just make sure you’re properly outfitted and geared for this type of trip!
Birding
This seemingly relaxing sport can actually be quite exciting when in the company of experienced and highly knowledgeable and skilled birdwatchers. Tracking your favorite feathered friends could require a good amount of trekking and canoeing. But once you find your subject, you’ll be rewarded with a unique glimpse into the little-seen world of birds.
There are more to enjoy from North Dakota and the great thing about it is that you can have an exciting range of activities to choose from in just a single state park.
