Brad Feld opens up about his bouts of depression, and intriguing how they might be exacerbated by the startup lifestyle that he thinks he needs to be living.

He doesn't need to be living it?

Imbalance? The trick is never to get too excited when things are going great and too sad and disappointed when they aren't.

Depression is a mental illness in which the afflicted person has no control of that.

It was brave of Brad to admit he suffers from depression because there are some people who will flat-out refuse to work with him as a result of it.

I do wonder why the heck he works 80 hour weeks. No venture capitalist should work 80 hour weeks.

I thought the reason they became venture capitalists was so they wouldn't have to work so much?
