Too many Devices
Gregory Alan Bolcer stashed this in Pandas!
Re-stashed in: Simplify, Mobile!, Multitasking, Storage!
Emperor Joseph II: My dear young man, don't take it too hard. Your work is ingenious. It's quality work. You simply have too many devices, that's all. Just cut a few and you will be much happier.
Mozart: Which few did you have in mind, Majesty?
Windows desktop for games, overclocking, writing, taxes, email.
Ubuntu 11 Desktop for development, Web applications, experimentation.
Alienware laptop for travel, trips, and demos, sometimes casual games.
iPhone4 which has replaced any other email reading device whenever I am more than 10 steps away from my desktop.
My AWS EC2 and S3 machines for day job supporting development, trial customers, and IT storage and backups.
My Google Apps and App Engine accounts for big data development and cloud apps.
And now my Galaxy Tab 10.1 for doing Kerosene/AR demos.
All of them want to store information locally, assume they are the only device you use, and all need more battery life than I can give them when not getting the attention they need.

And/or consider Bitcasa for auto-storing EVERYTHING in the cloud.
Then get as many desktops, laptops, tablets, mobile devices, and cloud machines as you want and SYNC 'EM ALL!!!
After Adobe revoking their flash certificate today, I'm looking at all the machines that support flash, 64 bit flash, 64 bit developer version of flash that won't work, etc. and really thinking I need to rethink.
