31 things learned about entrepreneurship
Most of these are kind of cliche, and it's really unnecessary to have a list of 31 things.
Kevin should have picked the top 5 or top 10.
Personally, the three things that resonated most with me are #1 (sense of purpose), #16 (gratitude), and #31 (perseverance).
I do like what he wrote about Perseverance:
No entrepreneur, no business, no athlete, no person has ever succeeded at anything, without an unhealthy level of perseverance. The quote below is a beautiful summary of the main reason entrepreneurs succeed against the odds and why other “virtues” fall short. Perseverance is interchangeable with persistence and means “steadfastness in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success.” In the end, this is what it all comes down to.
The quote is from Calvin Coolidge:
“Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan ‘Press On!’ has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.” Calvin Coolidge
Excellent quote despite the fact that it is from Calvin Coolidge.
