Had not thought about it this way, but it's true -- and really sad!!! -- that some of the best TV coverage of science comes from a faux-news program with a deliberately idiotic host. Probably Colbert will not be able to have scientist guests as often when he is hosting the The Late Show. :(
Perhaps Comedy Central will backfill Colbert with someone science-friendly.
Neil Degrasse Tyson needs a permanent show, I'm convinced.
Umm...he has one. He took Carl Sagan's spot and restarted Cosmos.
Has it been renewed for another season? I got the impression that's just a one-time miniseries.
